Browband information

Browband facts

What is a browband?
A browband connects the left and right headpieces. The browband runs over the head, above the eyes.

Why is a browband necessary?
The browband prevents the headpiece from sliding backwards.

What is a good browband?
A good browband is one that is strong but above all the correct size for the horse/pony.

What to do about loss of stones from the browband?
Most manufacturers don't glue the stones on their browbands. This is very time-consuming because it has to be done by hand. Many manufacturers therefore choose to use an extra large number of pins, such as 9 or 12, in the hope that the stones will stay in place better. Studs are also often used. Our browbands are glued, which ensures that the stones are extra secure.

Can you decorate a browband yourself?
This is definitely possible! If you're doing it yourself, use non-hotfix stones, as the hotfix device can damage the leather. Use a special glue like F6000 and absolutely do not use instant glue or anything similar. This glue will dull the stones.

If you have the right glue, make sure you use enough glue and press the stone down well.
